| A message from Pastor Wendy
Thank you for the warm welcome on January 11th. It was wonderful to worship with you, to meet you, and to be engaged in ministry with you as I attended the Neighborhood Breakfast and introduced myself to some of the diners. To all the volunteers- Thank you!
The fellowship at Coffee Hour was appreciated as we paused to cultivate a deeper presence with God and with one another, listening to our stories as we got to know one another forming a deeper community. What joy was expressed at the finding of the baby in the King’s cake, both of which were delicious. Fellowship is an opportunity for us to pause, to rest from the rush of life, and allow the sacred to reveal itself through the conversation that takes place. Please consider staying if you usually don’t.
Within the Psalm for this Sunday is the following verse: “Great are the wonders you have done, O Lord my God! In your plans for us, none can be compared with you! Oh, that I could make them known and tell them! But they are more than I can count.” (Psalm 40:5)
In last week’s message was the invitation to attend a Listening Circle. Listening Circles are small gatherings where I can get to know you and perhaps you will learn something new about one another. It is also a time for me to hear of the wonders that God has done in the life of Atonement and in your own lives. I am curious to hear of some of your dreams for Atonement or where you may hear God calling us forward. There is still plenty of room in each session, you may email me at momrevtoo@gmail.com or see the sign up sheet in the back of the nave on Sunday.
